In the depths the book of Stichting Duik de Noordzee Schoon

Ocean clean up books & article

The new edition of the "In the depths" book are out!

I just got my hands on two boxes full of copies from our chair(woman) Klaudie of the NGO "Duik de Noordzee Schoon".

The 200 page coffeetable book is now available both in Dutch and in English! Please click on either link to buy your copy.

Or get it from me for only €19,50 (let me know)!

So here is a sneakpeek:

If you (or the one you would buy the book for) are interested in the Northsea, ocean conservation and/or would want to support the efforts of this NGO with its incredible trackrecord: this is the book to buy.

Images of various photographers (amongst which yours truly :-) ) make the book a feast to read .

The book is unique, there is absolutely nothing like it and will take its readers below the surface of the Northsea revealing many of its secrets.

The book describes the activities and highlights of 14 expeditions in the Northsea, from south (Brown Bank) to north (Dogger Bank and Wadden UNESCO world heritage area):

- Ghost net removals.

- Marine biology discoveries.

- Search for the last missing Dutch sub called the O-13.

- Dives on (relatively) unknown U-boats.

- Multiple expeditions on the MSC ZOE spill area.

Go get the book, you won't be disappointed..!

But there is more.

Duiken Magazine has published the article about our COVID'19 expedition in the Wadden area.

Great stuff and a perfect write up by our expedition leader Ben Stiefelhagen on this very special and successful expedition.

Within the governments COVID limits we still managed to remove ghost nets as well as discover and salvage more MSC ZOE crap.

There is still too much of the debris left on the seabottom breaking down in smaller pieces.

The magazine is available in stores now!

Please find more of my images of the ocean clean up expeditions in the following portfolio.
